Green Week 2022

Long-running event is the first highlight of the German trade fair year

The International Green Week in Berlin will open from 21 to 30 January 2022 in Berlin. Next year, the International Green Week 2022 will take place as an in-person event again on the exhibition grounds. From 21 to 30 January on the Messe Berlin exhibition grounds, the focus will be on everything to do with the food industry, agriculture and horticulture.

“In 2022 Berlin will be celebrating its two-hundredth anniversary as a trade fair venue. With the Green Week, a highlight for the general public, we look forward to kicking off this anniversary year and sending a clear message that the trade fair industry is on course for recovery“, said Martin Ecknig, CEO of Messe Berlin.

Lars Jaeger, head of the Green Week, said: “Next year we will at last be able to welcome visitors in person again on the exhibition grounds. That will be a boost for the entire team at Messe Berlin to continue preparations at full speed.“ The eighty-seventh edition of the International Green Week is co-organised by its non-commercial sponsors, the German Farmers’ Union (DBV), the Federation of German Food and Drink Industries (BVE), the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and in cooperation with the exhibitors.

The safety and hygiene measures to be observed at the International Green Week follow the legal requirements and are regularly updated and coordinated with Berlin’s public authorities. “The aim is to establish a safe environment for our visitors, partners and exhibitors, while ensuring the Green Week remains a special experience“, said Lars Jaeger.
